It had always been a long held ambition of mine to become a stunt performer. To be perfectly truthful, the stunt profession, even way back as a young boy of fourteen years old, was all I lived and breathed.

Alas, my initial direction in life was a far cry from the path I so dreamed of. I qualified as a motor vehicle mechanic, which fortunately did furnish an advantage or two. This skill allowed me to build and maintain my own vehicles for rally cross racing, a field within which I excelled. Driving competitively and manoeuvring cars at speed to high degrees of precision helped keep the dream of stunt performing alive. 

Whilst working as a mechanic I took another step towards my destiny by developing a career as an actor. This was initially a part-time pursuit, but rapidly developed into a full-time occupation.

I set about seriously pursuing my long held dream in 1997 when I attended a five-week stunt course in the United States. After a year of World travel I decided it was now or never and dedicated all my resources into achieving my goal. Over the next five years I trained exceedingly hard and became highly competent in all the required disciplines. I further honed these skills by attending a three-week stunt-training course in Australia.

To broaden my skills base further, in 2003 I acquired a rope access technician qualification, which allowed me to pursue another occupation with further relevance to the stunt profession. This self-employed abseiling role also gave me the flexibility to train regularly and to select more appropriate acting parts.

In July 2005, after many years of blood, sweat and tears, my dream became reality, as I was accepted as a member onto The Equity Stunt Register. I am now a fully qualified professional stunt performer and enjoying every moment of living my dream.

Since joining the stunt register I have added a number of further disciplines to my repertoire. These include, horse trick riding; gaining my RYA powerboat level two licence; achieving the IRATA level two rope access course. These additional skills appropriately complement the eight years on set experience I have previously acquired through various roles in film and television. It is an absolute certainty that this list of achievements will forever continue to grow.
